Maria was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She attended Purdue University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Psychology, graduating with Highest Distinction. She then attended Miami University (OH), where she earned a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
Maria is a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with early intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, AAC, phonology and articulation, fluency, and feeding disorders. Additionally, Maria is certified in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). She is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
She takes a child-centered, play-based, and evidence-driven approach to therapy, prioritizing strong, trusting relationships while creating engaging experiences that are meaningful, motivating, and fun. She develops and implements individualized treatment plans grounded in research, incorporates caregiver education to promote carryover, and focuses on functional communication skills that support each child’s success across home, school, and community settings.
In her free time, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. If she is not at Disney World, she can typically be found curled up under a fuzzy blanket with a book or her newest crochet project
